A terrible, terrible week of writing. My wordcount barely moved at all.
Part of this is understandable, my wrist wasn’t quite up to par yet and I’ve spent four days with a migraine. But there’s also the bullshit excuses that boils down to: I just didn’t sit down and write. There is no cure for that except to try and not do it. Which I intend to do this week.
The silver lining is, of course, that some words is better than no words. A sentence I hope not to repeat too many times this year.
Wordcount of week #02: 958
Total for 2018: 5102
Week #01: 4144
Week #02: 958
As I predicted, I didn’t make it to my wordcount goal of 12k this week. Too many little things to do, on top of a wrist injury that I’d rather not make worse by typing a lot. I don’t mind it too much, it’s still more words than I had before.
And more words is good.
We’ll see how this next week pans out, I expect to write more, but I can’t say for sure whether or not my wrist is gonna be better. I hope it is, because being careful all the time is no fun.

I just published a new science-fiction short story titled Upload. It’s pretty short, but I like it a lot.
